At OUR Center a lot is going on behind the scenes that the community doesn’t see. Most of what we do can only be done with the help of our great volunteers.

The warehouse is the backbone of our food program. We receive thousands of pounds of food in donations monthly. Volunteers help us receive, sort, and stock food, all of which is essential for our Café and Market.

At the Closet, volunteers assist by sorting clothing and household donations. Donated items are provided free of charge to families and individuals in the St. Vrain Valley who are working on self-sufficiency. Our volunteers ensure that all clothing and household items are clean, and in good shape, and for the current season since closet space is limited.

OUR Center receives so much support from the community, that local grocery stores and restaurants regularly contribute which our drivers pick up based on the day. Grocery stores donate discontinued items and items that are no longer at the peak of freshness or food that was prepared but not sold. This food is used in our kitchen or distributed in our market.

We are lucky to have a group of volunteers willing to contribute their time to pick up and deliver those items weekly. Without this team of volunteers, we would never be able to meet the increasing demand of the community for our Community Market.
