Capital Campaign

December 12, 2016

Anticipation filled the air on August 29 as we opened the doors to our new Community Center at 220 Collyer Street.  Staff, volunteers, and participants quickly saw that this was not just another building—it was truly designed with the needs of the community in mind.

For the first time, participants can enter the Community Market and, with the help of a personal shopper, select well-rounded, nutritious food for their families off of the carefully-stocked, gleaming new shelves.

Those in need of clothing or household items can shop, with the help of a volunteer, in the new Community Closet, which is lovely enough to resemble a boutique.

Residents coming for a warm meal immediately see the bright, open and welcoming Community Café, which has more than double the capacity of our former dining room.

Best of all, those coming for services report feeling more dignified, uplifted, and worthy of being here for services while going through a tough time.

If you have not had a chance to tour our new facility, please call 303-772-5529 to set up a time with us so we can show you around.  We think you will be pleased with what our generous donors have provided for the greater Longmont community.

We are close to the finish line but not quite there yet!  There are still opportunities to donate to our Campaign, and any gift of $250 or more qualifies Colorado taxpayers for a potential 25% EZ Tax Credit on their state taxes.

New Space—New Services

The increased capacity of our new home allows us to partner with even more agencies to provide critical services to shared clientele.  These partners include Adult Basic  Education, Bridge to Justice Legal Services, St. Benedict’s Health & Healing Ministry, mental health services, parenting support and education, and more.

Providing “flex space” for other programs moves us closer to our ultimate goal of becoming a Family Resource Center.  For more information, call us at 303-772-5529.

We are only $200,000 away from our campaign goal of $4.7million—will you help us cross the finish line?
