Day Shelter and Warming Center

Day Shelter
The Day Shelter is a multi-service program for homeless adults and those persons living in marginal situations. It provides clients with the following services: daily meal, emergency food, clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, transportation, personal care options (hygiene items, showers, and laundry), mail service, voicemail accounts, other basic survival resources, and referrals to related services such as job services, public assistance, and health care. When appropriate, assistance with obtaining identification will be provided. We offer confidentiality, respect, understanding, honesty, timeliness, and supportive advice.

We do not offer night time shelter with the exception of the nights OUR Warming Center is open (described below). We do provide referrals to night time shelter.

The OUR Center provides services to families who are homeless through the Intake Center at 303 Atwood St. Clients are required to follow through with their case plan, have respectful behavior, honesty, and understanding of our resource limits. Decisions about what assistance we can give are based on a self-sufficiency case plan follow through, individual needs, and available resources.

The Day Shelter is located in our Hospitality Center at 250 3rd Avenue in Longmont

Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
For more information, Contact Us or call 303-772-5529 ext 240.

Three staff members are on the coordinating team. Volunteers who have received extensive training in boundary setting, mental health and substance abuse issues, safety, CPR, and first aid assist.
